John is survived by his maw Suzie and dad Brian. He has 1 younger sister Amanda, and 1 younger
brother Kevin, him and John were best mates as well as brothers. John is also a dad to baby Kayden,
a grandson, nephew and cousin.
John was a great wee guy he never passed you in the street he would always smile at you and give you
a wave.
He will be so sadly missed by his family and all his friends.
John's final journey home was on Tuesday the 2nd of September 2008, he is reunited with his Auntie
Carol-Ann Kerr who passed in 2002.

It seemed almost impossible, that I was leaving you.
I wish I could have said goodbye,
And kissed and seen you smile,
I wish I could have stayed with you even for a little while.
But then I had to realise, that this could never be,
Now emptiness, and memories,
Would take the place of me.
But when I walked through heavens gates,
I felt so much at home,
And then the lord looked down on me, from his golden throne.
He said, “this is for eternity, but I will promise you,
Although your life on earth has passed, here life starts anew”
“I promise no tomorrow, but today will always last,
And since each days the same up here,
There’s no longing for the past”
My loved ones, please don’t grieve for me,
Coz I am truly free,
And I will wait for you to come and share my life with me.
So when tomorrow starts without me,
Don’t think we’re far apart,
For every time you think of me,

I spoke to god the other day here’s what I had to say:
My son,s gone, in to a bright light,
But for some reason it just doesn’t feel right,
Can’t you let him come back, just for one day?
Maybe he could stay the night?
Just so I can say all the things I wanted to say,
Play the games we used to play,
Even the argument, screams and shouts,
The way we laughed, joked and messed about,
I know he can see me,
He can hear what I say,
But I just want to stop this pain,
To just see him, tell him I love him once again,
Could you do that for me dear god?
Is he happy in the clouds?
Can he see everyone?
Do I make him proud?
This is what god replied:
Dear child, your son,s safe,
He sees you and misses you everyday,
I wish I could let him come down from above,
To laugh and joke and share your love,
But it would make it harder when he leaves again,
